Latest Employment Opportunity

Early Childhood Special Education teacher needed at Lakeside Elementary School in Plummer.  Teacher will provide services to preschool students part day and teach elementary special education the remainder of the day.  Lakeside Elementary is the LEA for the Early Childhood Learning Center/Headstart in Plummer and the district provides any necessary services to children at that agency.

We are thrilled to announce that Lakeside High School has been selected as a recipient of the Idaho Career Ready Student Grant, receiving a generous amount of $146, 820 from the State Department of Education. This grant marks a significant milestone for our school and presents an exciting opportunity to expand our Trades & Industry Pathway.

                With this funding, we will be able to enhance our facilities and offerings, particularly in the metal/welding side of our shop. The acquisition of cutting-edge equipment such as the Torchmate, 4510 CNC Plasma Table, Hydmech Bandsaw, Scotchman Ironworker, and Portable Generator Welder, alongside various shop improvement tools. Will provide our students with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to modern industry standards.

                Our application for this grant aligned pathway standards to justify the necessity of the requested equipment. The process involved presenting our proposal to a committee comprising in industry and educational professionals. Who evaluated and determined allotment amounts. We are immensely grateful for their support and recognition of the importance of vocational education in preparing students for future success.

                These additions to our shop signify more than just material acquisitions; they symbolize our commitment to providing students with authentic learning experiences that mirror real-world challenges and solutions. By investing in their education and equipping then with state-of-the-art tools, we are empowering our students to thrice in an ever-evolving workforce.

                We extend our heartfelt thanks to the State Department of Education for their investment in our school and to our dedicated staff and community partners for their unwavering support. Together, we are shaping the future of our students and cultivating a workforce ready to tackle the demands of tomorrow’s industries.
